Unbeaten 83 Powers Mafatlal Cricket Club into Semi-Finals of Dr. Babasaheb

April 7: A blistering unbeaten half-century from Sai and a dominant
three-pronged bowling attack powered Mafatlal Cricket Club to a commanding 48-run
win over Greater Mumbai Police Club-A, sealing their place in the
semi-finals of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar T20 Cricket Tournament. The
high-voltage quarter-final clash was held at the RCF Sports Club ground in
Chembur.
Batting
first after losing the toss, Mafatlal CC posted a solid 189 for 5 in their
allotted 20 overs. Despite an early setback with two quick wickets,
wicketkeeper-batter Sai anchored the innings with a scintillating 83 not out
off 52 balls, including 10 boundaries and 2 sixes.
He
was ably supported by skipper Vishwajeet Jagdale, who contributed a
quickfire 36 off 23 deliveries, and Saurabh Singh, who added 28 off just
13 balls. For Greater Mumbai Police, Yogesh Patil was the pick of the
bowlers with figures of 2 for 26.
