Kolhapur Carrom Tournament: Sagar and Samruddhi Awarded Top Rankings

 

Kolhapur: The Shambhuraje Friends Circle, Kolhapur, is organizing the State Ranking Carrom Tournament with the approval of the Maharashtra Carrom Association and the Kolhapur District Amateur Carrom Association. The tournament will be held from April 12 to 14, 2025 at the Ganga Bhagyoday Cultural Hall, Main Road, Kasba Bavda, Kolhapur.

 

In this prestigious tournament, Sagar Waghmare from Pune and Samruddhi Ghadigaonkar from Thane have been awarded the top ranking in the Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles categories, respectively. The tournament will see participation from 134 male players and 26 female players.

Inauguration & Match Schedule:

 

The tournament will be inaugurated on April 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM by Honorable Satish Patil, Member of the Legislative Council, in the presence of various dignitaries. Following the inauguration, the Men’s Singles matches will begin. The Women’s Singles matches will commence on April 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

 

Live Streaming and Commentary:

Maharashtra Carrom Association has arranged to stream the semi-final and other significant matches live on their YouTube channel, ensuring that Carrom enthusiasts can watch the action from the comfort of their homes. The matches will be commentated in Marathi, Hindi, and English to cater to a wider audience.

Players such as World Champions Yogesh Pardeshi and Prashant More, along with several national and international level players from Maharashtra, will be participating, providing an exciting opportunity for Kolhapur residents to witness top-notch Carrom play.
