JSW Sports and SRFI Sign Landmark MoU to Elevate Squash in India ~
Mumbai,
31 March 2025: Following the successful conclusion of the JSW Indian Open in
Mumbai, where Anahat Singh claimed the women’s title, Indian squash is poised
for an exciting future with the announcement of three more international
tournaments.
In
a significant step for the sport, the Inspire Institute of Sport and JSW
Sports, in collaboration with the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI),
have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to host three years of
world-class squash action on home soil. The MoU was formally signed by Mr. N
Ramachandran, Patron of SRFI, and Mr. Parth Jindal, Founder & Director of
Inspire Institute of Sport and JSW Sports, on the sidelines of the JSW Indian
Open—India’s first-ever PSA Squash Copper tournament—where players competed in
a unique outdoor glass court setting.
Over
the next three years, India will host three PSA Squash Copper tournaments, with
Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chennai expected to be the key venues. Beyond the
tournaments, the partnership will facilitate collaboration with some of the
world’s best high-performance squash coaches, ensuring top-tier training for
Indian players. With six Indian players currently ranked in the world's top
100, this initiative is a major boost as they prepare to compete against the
best in the lead-up to the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics.

ecosystem in India. This initiative is designed to provide Indian squash
