Mumbai, November 13: KRP XI Cricket Club and Rajwadi Cricket Club both saw impressive century performances from their top batswomen as they triumphed in the third round of the MCA Women's Cricket League 2024.

 

Sandhya Kamble's Century Powers KRP XI to Big Win

KRP XI Cricket Club’s Sandhya Kamble was the standout performer in her team's dominant 101-run victory over Indian Dynamite CC in a fourth-round match at the DPC ground in Matunga. Kamble’s explosive knock of 108 runs off 84 balls, which included 19 boundaries, guided her team to a massive total of 289 all out in just 39.5 overs.

 

In response, Indian Dynamite CC struggled against KRP XI's bowlers, who bowled them out for 188 runs in 39.4 overs. Tanvi Parab (56) and Kartika Poojary (40) were the top scorers for Indian Dynamite, but they fell short as KRP XI's Advaita Toraskar claimed 4 wickets for 28 runs, and Chetna Kamble backed her up with 3 wickets for 31.

 

Saloni Kushte's Century Leads Rajwadi to Convincing Victory

At the same time, Saloni Kushte's unbeaten 103 (117 balls, 10 fours) was the highlight of Rajwadi CC's 124-run victory over Victory CC. Rajwadi, batting first, posted 209 for 4 in their 40 overs, with Kushte anchoring the innings.

 

Victory CC could only manage a paltry 85 runs in 35.4 overs in reply. The star with the ball for Rajwadi was Vrushali Bhagat, who spun a web around the Victory CC batswomen, claiming 3 wickets for just 5 runs.

  • Glorious CC scored 202 for 7 in 40 overs, with Sadhvi Sanjay (47) and Shraddha Shetty (40) leading the charge. In reply, Dilip Vengsarkar Foundation were dismissed for just 55 runs in 14.3 overs. Samruddhi Ghare (5/28) and Trushna Narkar (3/13) wreaked havoc with the ball.
  • Sportsfield CC defeated Palghar Dahanu Taluka SA by 35 runs. Despite Punam Raut’s 57 runs, Sportsfield's 118 all out proved enough as Palghar Dahanu were bowled out for just 83 runs. Riddhi Thakkar claimed 4 wickets for 14 runs for Sportsfield.

 

  • Bharat CC posted 158 all out, but Dahisar SC chased it down with ease, finishing at 161 for 9, with Priyanka Golipkar top-scoring with 75 runs.

 

  • Maharashtra Young Cricketers defeated Dashing SC by 19 runs. Sanaya Joshi's 55 and Jaini Shah's 33 led Maharashtra to 177 for 9. Dashing SC were bowled out for 158, with Ritika Yadav claiming 3 wickets for just 8 runs.
