Bombay Gym Cricket Trials on Nov 21 & 22
Mumbai,
November 17: The Bombay Gymkhana, as part of its CSR initiative “BG Cares,”
will conduct its annual free cricket coaching camp for boys in the under-19 and
under-23 age groups at the Gymkhana ground. The camp is supported by the Amba
Shree Foundation.
The
camp will run from November 26, 2024, to May 31, 2025, and will be led by
experienced coach Farhad Daruwala.
Daruwala,
a former assistant coach at the World Cricket Academy and Rajasthan Royals
trial camps under Zubin Bharucha, has also served as an assistant coach for the
Canada National Team in 2019.
The
coaching sessions will be held from Tuesday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and
2:00 PM.
Trials
for Selection:
Trials
will be held to select 20 candidates in each of the two categories. All young
cricketers interested in participating should report to the Bombay Gymkhana
ground on Thursday, November 21, and Friday, November 22, 2024, at 9:00 AM for
the trials. Participants are required to wear white cricket clothes and shoes.
Please
bring a copy of your birth certificate and Aadhar card. The age cut-off for the
under-19 category is players born on or after September 1, 2005, and before
August 31, 2008. For the under-23 category, players must be born on or after
September 1, 2001, and before August 31, 2005.
Please
note that players who have already registered with the Mumbai Cricket
Association (MCA) for two clubs are not eligible for selection.
